Attacks on German Party Representatives

German police log every offence they classify as politically motivated, and since 2019 they also record what it was aimed at: a party building, an election poster, or a person.

The data includes insult, threat, incitement, criminal damage and bodily harm. Figures come from the Federal Government's reply to a parliamentary question (Drucksache 20/1077), based on the police reporting system for politically motivated crime. They reflect an initial police assessment, not a conviction; The data from 2023 was cited provisional.
